The Humane Clarifying Toner Pads, for instance, are effective and super-convenient. These textured pads come pre-soaked in a breakout-fighting blend of 2% salicylic acid (an oil-soluble BHA, or beta hydroxy acid) and antioxidant-rich green tea extract. They work to deep-clean, exfoliate, and brighten skin in one easy step.

The BHA-powered formula penetrates pores, dissolving the acne-causing buildup of oil, dead cells and grime without stripping or irritating skin. Green tea extract helps to counter any drying effects, reducing redness and inflammation while delivering a dose of antioxidant protection. This toner balances the skin's pH with an optimal range of 3.3 to 3.7, keeping blackheads, whiteheads and blemishes at bay.
